club night at doka and paradiso noord, inspired by the global hacker collective. responding to wikileaks, snowden, and chelsea manning, the project attempted to hack club culture itself — playing with expectations and conventions as resistance against the commercialisation of the underground, and as an act of love for the freedom of club culture. 

conceived as both party and research method, exploring anonymity, collectivity, and radical hospitality. a parallel ba course at artez arnhem allowed the experiment to unfold pedagogically.

laurel halo named it one of the best events she performed at in 2014. others who played here were a.o. lee gamble, blue daisy, minor science, and logos. creative direction in collaboration with lyndsey housden, michael oswell, and metahaven.

anonymous marked a return to politically-charged club nights after dread (2013) and anticipated later programmes like progress bar, shadow channel, resolution, and commune.
